The second TYPO3camp Regensburg took place from 25th to 27th October 2013, which we supported as official (beer) sponsor for the social event. Beside this first engagement we also passed on our knowledge to the participants, many of whom visited a TYPO3camp for the first time.
Markus shared his knowledge about writing Gitlab webhooks, which we have been using for several months with complete satisfaction and would like to use in the future also for public open source software from our agency. We can recommend the tool without hesitation to all interested parties who need a self-hosted and easy-to-use interface for Git projects with integrated wiki and ticket management. The constant development also shows a lot of potential here.
Fabian and I gave a lecture about our experiences in creating our company website with TYPO3 Neos. The basic impression on our part was to be seen with mixed feelings, since the CMS still has many minor bugs and many features are simply missing. Of course, this is due to the early development - TYPO3 Neos has only recently appeared in the first beta version. Potential can be seen here in any case and we are happy to be able to implement all our first customer projects with Neos as our supporting agency.
Of course, we also tried to acquire new knowledge ourselves and attended some good lectures, one of which stood out in particular. The lecture about legal topics in dealing with OpenSource in TYPO3 projects was very exciting and informative, because this topic is unfortunately too rarely taken up on camps. The challenge cup went to this double lecture which was to be expected very early due to the sheer number of participants.
